Our vision is to create a world where mental health care is inclusive, equitable, and grounded in cultural humility. We strive to honor culture, promote mindful healing, and advance equitable psychological care through research, cultural understanding and heart-centered compassion.

Dr. Kia Yang, PsyD

Dr. Kia Yang is a licensed clinical psychologist, educator, and advocate dedicated to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and accessible mental health care in California’s Central Valley. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and is bilingual in English and Hmong, offering care that bridges psychological science with cultural wisdom and community healing.


She is the founder of Mindful Solutions Psychological Services and The Mindful Access Program, providing therapy, psychological assessments, and culturally grounded mental health outreach for underserved and immigrant communities. Dr. Yang is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for trauma, Brainspotting, and is a certified HeartMath practitioner, integrating evidence-based treatment with mind-body techniques such as heart-rate variability (HRV) biofeedback to support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and nervous system healing.

Psychological Sevice & Research

Dr. Yang specializes in psychological assessment (ADHD, autism, and learning disorders), trauma and PTSD treatment, cultural and intergenerational stress, and refugee and immigrant mental health. Her work reflects her commitment to decolonizing therapy, promoting mental health equity, and integrating cultural, spiritual, and psychological healing.


She has served in leadership and supervisory roles and actively participates in community-based mental health advocacy, education, and research by contributing to regional efforts to expand mental health literacy and equity for Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
